Today at sunset we begin another 13-day period of Listening Earth Energy. The Universal 1 energy on the first full day of this period gives us a double influence of Listening Energy–it is the underlying energy of the next 13 days! Therefore we need to practice our listening skills and listen twice as much as usual to hear the real truth or what needs to be expressed.
A Listening energetic period is considered to be a time of darkness, but darkness need not frighten us. Darkness can always be seen as a time of going deeper–a time of greater realizations and understanding. Look into the dark sky and feel the peace that is there for us whenever we connect to that energy. However, the Maya believed that the energy of this period also showed people wandering around confused in half-light, unable to see the true reality. Certainly, we see signs of confusion in people all around us now, too.
This is a time of the dark before the dawn. There may be a great deal of mental rigidity or “need to be right” showing up, causing conflict between us and conflict on the planet. We may also experience a deep need for emotional or physical personal security. Inappropriate responses to this energy can cause us to be pessimistic, troubled, or controlling. Appropriate uses of Listening energy have us practicing empathy, care, and taking personal responsibility for our thoughts, our words, our beliefs, and our actions. Going deeply into our own hearts is the proper path of wisdom during this thirteen-day period.
Together we must do our best to move through this period as gracefully as possible and practice listening more deeply for the truth and for guidance.
Let us listen well and be sure that we hear everything that is being said, between the lines as well as outright; let us be sure that we understand what is being asked of us and make conscious choices of how we wish to respond. .
