We are now entering the second half of our Collective Shadow Cycle as we begin the 13-day energetic period of Illuminating Earth Energy at sunset today. Like all Earth Energies, we have a choice to interact with the low vibration of this energy or the high vibration of this energy. Will we choose to align with the drama that is often present in Illuminating Energy, or will we choose to be part of the light that Illuminating Energy brings? Because we are in a Collective Shadow Cycle, the choice is more important.
In addition to the Collective Shadow Cycle, we are all experiencing the world experience of the South Node of the Moon in Scorpio, which brings all pain to the surface to be healed. If we react to that pain, we may find ourselves criticizing others with harsh or cutting words. If we choose the higher path, we can use the gifts of the Moon’s North Node in Taurus to take an honest look at what we are feeling, respond to it with integrity, and refuse to engage with drama. While the Collective Shadow Cycle (one of two of the most intense periods of 2022) ends on March 4th, the shadow of The Moon’s South Node in Scorpio will be with us until Summer of 2023. This is also the period when Pluto (which rules Scorpio) is in Capricorn, the planet that governs the structures that create our reality. Pluto in Capricorn is showing us what isn’t working, and pushing us to act upon this information with wisdom, honesty, integrity, and courage.
It is clear to me that we need to use the higher vibrational gifts of this 13-day period of Illuminating Energy to set a precedent for moving forward for the rest of this year. We actually need to be the light that we are and to shine that light into the world. During this 13-day period within in the Collective Shadow Cycle, we have a brief window to strip away all illusion and see things as they really are. If we jettison our misguided beliefs and use our light to truly see what is happening around us, we can use our collective power to change both our internal and our external circumstances. If instead we snap and growl like a cornered dog as things seem to close in on us, we continue the very pattern of pain we are seeking to eliminate, and we lose the opportunity to make a collective leap in consciousness.
Mahatma Gandhi wisely counselled us to make necessary changes within ourselves. His exact quote is:
We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him.”
Following this sage advice, we need to be the light that we are, and act from a place of power, trust and certainty as we say, “No!” to so many external things that are happening around us and “Yes!” to the transformations that begin when we change our beliefs, our thoughts, our actions, and our very selves. The cosmos is offering us the opportunity to align with the truth and to become the highest versions of ourselves by choosing light over drama and then Illuminating this dark period of human experience.
