Today we celebrate Spring Equinox in the Northern hemisphere and Fall Equinox in the Southern hemisphere. Simultaneously, at sunset we move into a new 13-day period of EVOLVING energy. This is a period that can bring large changes, as is appropriate when moving from one season to the next. In EVOLVING energy, boundaries shift and political conditions destabilize. The old falls away as we co-create what we want and need next collectively. This is an Eastern energy, and Eastern energies always bring in something new.
At the same time we move into EVOLVING energy, Venus moves into the Phase of Surrendering & Discovery. This is cosmically intentional–the universe is asking what beliefs and old patterns we are willing to surrender to discover the essence of what is truly important.
Appropriate use of EVOLVING energy for the next 13 days includes acceptance of old boundaries falling away, being willing to surrender what no longer works, and being open to new possibilities. Inappropriate response to this energy can leave us feeling disappointed or depressed, clinging to what was rather than looking forward into what comes next.
This period offers an opening of wisdom and new ideas. It calls us to listen to our hearts, where true wisdom is always available, and connect our thoughts with what our hearts know is true.
The Maya called this period Caban, or Earthquake, because of the potentials available for earthshaking changes. But the movement that occurs now needs to start at the level of our awareness. We should not be looking for physical changes outside of ourselves but changing on the inside. By clinging to outdated or selfish ideals that we may have believed kept us safe, we have not embraced the path of our intended evolutionary journey. Now we have another chance to grow and evolve; we need to simply walk away from the illusion, making choices from our hearts for an evolved future.
